Brandy Melville Media Launch!

Yesterday evening I had the pleasure of attending the Brandy Melville launch as a Vervegirl rep! It was such a great evening filled with yummy sweets, great music and beautiful fashion.

Brandy Melville opened in Toronto a few months ago and there is one located in Vancouver plus all across USA! When I walked in the store I instantly fell in love, its unique atmosphere especially the visual merchandising was very inviting! I love how the set up gave off a vintage, eclectic vibe! The clothes are reasonably priced, very trendy and I love the nudes/neutrals, and all the beautiful earth tones... check out to see all they have to offer :)

I met some really lovely ladies & picked up a couple goodies as well.

What i bought ♥

This is what was in the goodie bag i recieved! My favourite item is the little zip pouch, love the ikat print!

The Brandy Melville ladies were so sweet & helpful!
If you're in the Toronto area you can pop in at: 326 Queen St. West

Fall 2012 Essentials

1. A casual, dressy and in between jacket is a must! An anorak is very trendy this season & one of my faves. Also a trench coat and motorcylce jacket are other great options
BONUS: Check out my video of *Ways to Style: an Anorak Jacket* click here

2. Cardigans- oversized, comfy, or fitted. They are a great layering piece!
3. Jeans in various washes and colors add an extra pop to your outfit

4. Boots- specifically riding boots are an investment you'll have for a long time, plus they look cute with many different outfits. Shorter booties are wonderful for dressing up an outfit on those fun nights out
5. A roomy messenger or satchel bag is perfect for this season (try a deep chocolate brown or mustard)
6. Jewelry- a boyfriend watch or cute stud earrings really finish off any fall outfit
7. Jewelry- dainty or statement necklaces are perfect for daytime or nighttime looks, also armcandy(layered bracelets) are another great trend that's fun to play around with!
8. Scarfs- a nature inspired fall color, or cute print is great for layering on those cooler fall days
9. A cute skinny belt in a nude or a pop of color can nicely finish an outfit in an unexpected way!

10. Makeup- A neutral palette and berry lips are perfect for fall
Nails-Nudes, & deep tones look great on any skin tone!

*I made this set via Polyvore :)

Sister Outfit of the Day!

Summer is almost over, but i'm enjoying every last minute of it
before i have to start adding layers. Here's a cool summer ootd with my sis!

Monday, 3 September 2012

It's that time of the year again...

Even though today isn't the last day of summer, in a way it sort of felt like it. Labour day weekend has passed and school will resume Tuesday morning for students! I am a college graduate, but i remember as a child being so excited for the return of school and to be entering a new grade! In high school and college as i grew more fashion conscious i would have outfits planned for the week! [Back to school shopping was fun and picking out cute outfits was my speciality.] If i were in school here's something i put together that i would definitely wear on the first day back... enjoy!!

What did you wear on your first day back?
OR What trends are you excited for this fall?
