NYC Big Bold Look

Step 1: Apply a primer to help your eye-shadow to last. 

Then apply a light colour over entire lid as a base colour. 

Step 2: Apply a darker brown colour in the crease for some dimension, 

Step 3: Add some dark eye-liner to the top(i did a winged eye!)

*This liquid eye-liner has a felt tip and makes for an easy application

Step 4: Apply some mascara to make your eyelashes POP!

*This mascara gives you lots of volume without clumps. You also can bulid very 

nicely with this mascara 1, 2 or 3 coats.. depending on the look you're going for!

& the look is complete!!

Review: Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure

In my Influester Maple Vox Box I received these nails to try out. I have long nails so I've never worn fake nails, but I decided if I were to use these I'd wear them on a couple nails or as a statement nail.

I only filed down my thumbnail:

As you can see with my thumbnail filed down all the way, the fake nail is too short:

It was also slighty too small to cover my nail:

I really liked the print of the nails(I love leopard print!) But unfortunately these nails did not work for me at all, they were too small and short. If you have long nails, these will not be a good fit for you. I'm not sure what nail lengths they have available, my pack was the 'short length'. So if these nails interest you, make sure to keep this in mind: check to see the nail length written on the front of the package to see what will be best for you.

If I want to change up my nails with a pattern I'd prefer to try nail strips, because I wouldn't have to cut my nails down all the way to use them & I'd have more versatility.

Garnier Skincare Press Event

Hello Everyone!

Last week as a vrep (www.vervegirl.com) I had the pleasure of attending the Garnier Skincare Press Event at Snell Hall!
As soon as I entered the venue everything from..

the candy bar:

to the seating:

Screamed Garnier! I loved the execution of the décor/setting & it definitely translated very well to the brand, green accents were everywhere. (Awesome job ROI!)

In the past I have used Garnier hair products but I haven't tried any Skincare products, so it was nice to try out something new. We learned a lot about what Garnier has in store for 2014, so definitely be on the look out in your local drug stores and beauty sections! I can't give too much details... but just know it'll definitely be something to check out.

There were different areas to try out the new products, here was the 'Get Dirty Station' where we put different types of make-up on our hands then exfoliated with the new products! Might I add... these exfoliatiors smelt a-ma-zing! The scent was so fresh & lingered long after:
